Is VoIP safe for emergency calls?
VoIP can call 000, but it depends on power, internet and a correct address.
How it works
VoIP phones can dial 000, but they rely on power and internet. If either fails, the call may not connect.
What to do
- Register the correct service address for every line
- Keep a charged mobile phone available
- Consider a battery backup and 4G/5G failover
- Update the address when you move or add staff at a new site
