Can I keep my number when switching business phone provider?
Yes, in most cases. Here is how number porting works and what can delay it.

In most cases, yes
You can usually keep your business numbers, including landline, 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers. The new provider submits a port request to your current provider using the account details on your latest bill.
What can delay a port
- Account name or address that does not match the bill
- Unpaid balances or contract terms with the old provider
- Numbers spread across several accounts
Before you switch
Do not cancel your old service until the port completes. Cancelling first can lose the numbers. Ask us to check your bill before you start.
